Far from the Madding Crowd: quotations (2)

Choose a quotation from the fourth instalment (chapters XV-XX). Remind us what chapter it comes from, then explain briefly why you chose it. Feel free to comment on other quotations! Due by Monday, January 11th.

What to do:

The purpose of blog posts is to encourage discussion while giving everyone a chance to express their ideas. I'm looking for a personal, individual and well-informed response to the text or topic we're exploring. Insight and analysis are key words here.

You need to go beneath the surface of the text, making connections, asking good questions, and finding evidence (quotations and examples) from the text to support your ideas.

Please read and respond to your classmates' posts. Think of it as a collaboration: reinforce, question, and expand on one another's ideas.

Do your best with spelling and grammar, but don't stress about it. Blogs are by nature less formal; what's important is to let the ideas to flow!
